I Scare Myself!
...As some of you know, I have entered the teaching world and will begin my student teaching in January...currently a Teacher's Aide, I find myself using such phrases as...
- "I don't know, can you?" (referring to students asking if they "CAN use the restroom?")..."don't you mean MAY I?"
- "You will be glad you are going through tough times/conflict now...it will make you a stronger person...it will help you in the future when you get out in the real world."
- "I was young like you once"
- "When you were in diapers, I was..."
- "TRUST ME, one day when you get older you will look back on this and appreciate what I am trying to teach you now..."
The list goes on, but I will stop there!
